The SDPC has scheduled a workshop on January 11th (Saturday) from 10am-1pm at the home of Alex Swanson.

The workshop will be conducted by Jon Campbell and will place emphasis on the importance of the following topics:

·       Intent in Photography (developing a clear purpose when taking a photo)

·       Direction of Light

·       Quality of Light

·       Lens selection and camera settings

·       Depth of Field

·       Headshot and portrait photography

We are fortunate to have Mariah Mendez as our model to help demonstrate different lighting techniques for headshot and portrait photography and the importance of collaborating with a model.

The workshop will be available to all SDPC 2025 members. Each photographer will have the opportunity to photograph Mariah during the workshop in order to gain experience learned during the workshop. Please bring your camera.

SDPC will provide support to capture your images. SDPC will provide the Godox/Flashpoint strobe lighting equipment. Please bring your Godox/Flashpoint triggers. If you don’t have a trigger, we will provide a trigger for Canon, Sony and Nikon cameras.
